Morning Star Outfitters is proud to be the only Outfitting service on the Blackfeet Reservation that has the knowledge and experience garnered from 4 generations of fly-fishing/hunting guides.
Joe and Kathy Kipp are both Blackfeet tribal members who also own and operate a cattle ranch north of Browning, Montana. They have four children who also guide and help with the family businesses, and four grandsons. Joe Kipp's native name is Kyiyo Tokon (Bear Head). He is a fourth generation survivor of the Bear River/Marias River Massacre.
The Blackfeet People have inhabited these same lands for 10,000+ years, as evidenced by our Creation/origin stories, Blackfeet history, and archaeological evidence. We the Blackfeet have thrived for thousands of years hunting these same ancestral hunting grounds. It would only make sense that we would be great guides as well.
