Big Game Hunting
There are a variety of big game animals available to hunt in spectacular and wild Blackfeet Country. We offer Black Bear, Mountain Lion, Shiras Moose, Rocky Mountain Elk, Mule Deer, White Tail Deer, Prong Horn Antelope and Big Horn Sheep hunts, and they each have limited tags available. Our thriving Grizzly population is federally protected and no hunting is allowed for them.
There are currently tags available from the Blackfeet Tribe for the 2012 hunting season. There are 5 tags each for bull elk, moose, mule deer, antelope, and whitetail deer, some have already been sold. Currently, there is 1 bull elk tag remaining for $12,000, 4 moose tags available for $12,000 each, the mule deer tags are sold out. There are 5 antelope tags available for $1,500 each, and 4 whitetail tags for $1,500 each.
There is only 1 sheep tag for sale directly from the Blackfeet tribe for $35,000. If it isn't sold in the next few days, it will be sold at the Oviss/Grand Slam Auction in Reno Nevada on February 11, 2012. The Blackfeet Tribe sheep tag sold for $34,800 at the Oviss/Grand Slam Auction in 2011.

Morning Star Oufitters has a 100% success rate for Moose, Elk, Deer and Big Horn Sheep. The Big Horn sheep are the hardest to hunt with the least degree of success. Joe Kipp is an exceptional guide and has had the skill and expertise to harvest Rams early in the hunt, and has done so in the past. Joe has personally harvested 2 rams in his lifetime, the only living Blackfeet to do so. When planning your hunt, remember Morning Star Outfitters is "The Premier Outfitter for Blackfeet Country."
