Horseback Riding

    Morning Star Outfitters offers  a great horseback experience, with a extremely talented crew of guides, some of the best mountain, trail, and pleasure horses, and not to mention the gorgeous landscapes that grace northwestern Montana.  All of our guides are extremely experienced, talented and knowledgible with all things equestrian.  Joe and Kathy are quite comfortable on a horse, and in fact Kathy is a champion barrel racer at the Indian, High School, and College level.  The 4th generation guides include Tim, Max, Kristen, and Moriah Kipp have been practically raised on horses, riding since toddlerhood, guiding horseback trips for many years; they have broken horses, trained and competed in the rodeo arena, and simply have a love and appreciation for horses that they share with their clients.
    
    Morning Star has some great quarter horses that will give you a great ride, a great experience, and allow you to enjoy our Blackfeet Lands from another perspective.  We also have Norwegian Fjords, which are reputably the best mountain horses in the world.  They are primarily used for rides up in the high country, including our day rides, and guided hunts.  They are short,  sturdy and gentle animals that love people.  Whether you want to ride into a secluded fishing spot or look for big game, you'll be in good hands with our horses and our guides. 

    Morning Star offers Three Riding Options that include: Blackfeet Horsemanship Lesson, High Country Riding, and Horseback/Fly-fishing Riding.  We also will work to accomodate any other equestrian activities that you may want.  We have had clients request activities such as learning the basics of barrel racing, participating in a cattle drive, to a slower paced ride geared towards photographers.  Whatever it is that you would like we can accomodate those needs, and give you a great experience with ample opportunity for learning our Blackfeet culture.
